Historic trails
The Town Trail: Recently set up, the Town Trail provides an interesting introduction to the historical monuments around the town. Leaflets are available at the Information Centre in the Square. A walk-through of the trail can be viewed on the Huntly Community website www.huntly.net .
The Castle Trail: Huntly Castle is one of the areas many fortifications which can be visited on this sign-posted trail. Leaflets are available at the Information Centre in the Square. Other castles on the Trail include Corgarff, Crathes and Fyvie.

The Victorian Heritage Trail: Situated to the south of Huntly, and passing through towns such as Banchory, Ballater and Braemar, visitors can follow this Trail to see some of the impressive Victorian history of the area.

The Malt Whisky Trail: Based mainly in the Spey valley but easily accessible from Huntly, this Trail visits many of the famous distilleries of the north-east including Glenfiddich, Glen Grant, Glen Moray and Glenlivet. In addition, there are many smaller distilleries not included in the Trail.

The Coastal Trail: Running from Findhorn to St.Cyrus, the touring visitor can enjoy not just the picturesque former fishing villages and the larger fishing ports but also unspoilt beaches, spectacular cliffs and wildlife galore.
